MSEE or MSCS required and Ph.D. is a big plus, with a minimum of 5 current years of experience in a Systems Software Engineering capacity.
Job Duties include;
* Development of software specifications
* Review of hardware specifications, datasheets and schematics
* Development of drivers for on-chip peripherals
* Development of peripheral models (in C++) to be integrated with third party IDEs
* Embedded software development and debugging on simulators and target platforms
* System Level Testing of SOC - Test Plan and Test Scripts development, generating test reports and presenting to the team, first level debugging to assign defects to the right engineer
The successful candidate with posses the majority of the technology listed below;
* Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and assembly languages
* Experience in developing drivers for embedded systems
* Experience in Flash file system Development - preferred
* Knowledge of OS - synchronization primitives, multi-threading, scheduling
* Good problem solving and programming skills and software practice
* Strong experience with all phases of software development cycle on embedded systems including design, implementation, and debugging
* Experience using debug tools such as Lauterbach or Real View ICE as well as Logic Analyzers
* Experience in System Level Testing of HW/SW - preferred
* Experience with System C * a plus
* Experience developing peripheral models for SOC - a plus
* Verilog, FPGA experience * a plus
* Experience in Performance analysis and benchmarking - a plus
* Familiarity with Source Control Systems (e.g. Subversion)
* Knowledge of Linux - Desirable
