Our client is a very exciting and profitable company, they have asked us to help them locate several very talented Senior Level Fiber Laser Engineers.  The positions can be located in Sunnyvale, CA or Shenzhen China.

Qualifications Include:

Proven industrial working experience in development of Specialty Optical Fiber, high power Fiber Laser (cw and pulsed), semiconductor laser, EDFA, and their applications. Passive Optical Fiber, Active Optical Fiber and micro-structured fiber such as Photonic Crystal / Band-Gap / High Non-Linearity Micro-Structured  Fiber Design,  Preform Fabrication,  Fiber Drawing and Characterization

Single Frequency Fiber Laser & Amplifiers - High Power Fiber Laser & Amplifiers (CW & Pluses) - Laser Frequency Parametric Conversion - Nonlinear Optics - Generation, Detection & Application of Terahertz Waves - Diode Pumped Solid State Laser and OPO - Waveguide Modulators - Nonlinear Optical Materials - Polymer Optoelectronics

Job Description and Responsibilities:

 • Experimental support of high power fiber laser(1000W) design,  development and prototype production.

 • Test and optimize alternative cost effective architectures for rapid adoption in laser systems.

 • Conduct experiments in support of design for manufacturing.

 • Establish high level technical relationships with interdisciplinary  project teams and  customers.

Education and Work Experience:

 • M.S. degree (Ph.D.desired) in Physics, Optics, or other related  engineering disciplines.

 • 5+ years hands-on experience in research, development or manufacturing  of fiber lasers with am emphasis on strong experimental skills.

 • Good written and verbal presentation skills, proven ability to analyze data and present results and conclusions 

• Excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
