Our Hiring Company is looking to add 2 or 3 Full Time Permanent PHY / Firmware Engineers.  The positions will be Senior and also Mid Level individual contributors. We are working in the Smart Grid System on Chip marketplace.

We are looking for a qualified candidate for the development of Physical Layer (PHY) architectures and subsequent implementations for our products. This will be a hands-on position, designing/implementing critical algorithms while helping MAC and application layer design teams. Candidate must have sufficient experience in software/firmware and system architecture designs.

Start Date is Immediate!

Requirements

• Experience in dev. & optimizing DSP applications in C and assembly language for a DSP or DSP-like processor.
• 4+ years of experience in physical layer
• DSP firmware for signal processing routines
• Embedded C programming
• Experience in development and optimization of DSP firmware for wireless or power line communications algorithms is strongly preferred
• Experience in PAN / LAN / WAN standards – 802.15 or 802.11/16 is a plus
• Committed to producing high quality, well designed software
• Team player and excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
