Deployment Engineer
Telvent

Telvent, a part of Schneider Electric, currently has an outstanding opportunity for a Passionate and Motivated individual to assume the role of Deployment Engineer in our Fort Collins, CO location. The Deployment Engineer works independently to combine a strong technical background with great organizational and communication skills. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who brings a strong ability to troubleshoot problems and a desire to understand the minute details involved in building and deploying quality software. The Deployment Engineer is a critical component to our software development process, and we need an individual ready to become a reliable addition to our team in this key role.

Responsibilities
- Strong commitment to maintaining a quality user experience when installing product suite
- Improve the operational efficiency and accuracy of the build process
- Engineer, improve and evaluate build tools, scripts and procedures
- Manage, maintain and advise best practices for Source Code Control (SCC)
- Participate with and advise Release Management team

Requirements
- BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field (Software Engineer, Systems Administrator e.g.)
- Fine attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Eagerness to learn.
- Proven troubleshooting capability.
- Work experience or knowledge of MSI technology with products such as InstallShield, Windows Installer XML (WiX) is a plus
- Knowledge of scripting languages or scriptable shells such as batch files, VBScript, UNIX shell scripts or specific build tools like Make or Visual Build is a plus
- Work experience or knowledge developing end-user applications with C#, C++, and Visual Basic is a plus
- Knowledge of configuring and deploying Windows services and ASP.NET applications is a plus
