Schneider Electric Smart Infrastructure is seeking a motivated Proposal Analyst to support our Oil & Gas North America Sales team. The position is located within our Pipeline Simulation team in our Columbia, Maryland location and will focus on proposals, sales & marketing and governance within the sales & account services team. Responsibilities
Proposals
- Overall responsibility for putting together a proposal - Timely proposal preparation and presentation - Interface with all relevant departments (Engineering, RPI, Legal, Marketing, Purchasing), coordinate meetings and ensure all deadlines for a proposal are met. - Administrative tasks related to proposal preparation - Prepare summary of Costing for a project in the proposal - Supplier and contractor interface - Accurate and comprehensive proposal budgeting * (sales cost & sales effort to win proposal) - Ensure that proposals are received by the customer on time - Provide ongoing customer support/liaison * follow up on proposal, clarification, revision requests - Present high level proposal to the customer (cost, engineering solution) - Invoice verification - Prepared required information packages to present to customers
Sales & Marketing
- Technical presentations - Product Demonstrations - Trade show support
Governance
- Follow internal processes related to Account Services - Develop technical knowledge of company solutions - Accurate and comprehensive project handover to Engineering Department - Cost monitoring of proposal budget (cost center)
Core Competencies
- 1-3 years related experience in a client service orientated environment - Strong writing skills is a requirement - Fluency in English is a requirement. Fluency in other languages is an asset - Highly proficient in MS Office, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Visio an asset - Highly organized, capable of multitasking - Excellent interpersonal, negotiating skills, dynamic and influential - Excellent attention to detail - Strong client focus - Able to work in a team-oriented environment
Education
- A Bachelor*s Degree in Business, Marketing or similar concentration. Technical background in computer applications or process control field is a plus.
