Field Technician Telvent Richmond, Virginia
Telvent, a part of Schneider Electric, currently has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of a Field Technician in our Richmond, Virginia location.
Responsibilities - Performance of maintenance service and repair in the area of mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic devices, networks and various detection devices. - Performing preventive maintenance, remedial and routine service and repairs of a variety of electronic equipment. - Maintenance on equipment such as communication systems, computer systems, cameras and related equipment.
Requirements - Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule and perform on-call duty as required, including nights weekends and holidays. - Must be familiar with common electrical bench test equipment and instruments. Strong experience with IR sensors, optical systems and electro-mechanical hardware is required. - The knowledge and experience with hands-on integrated environment. - The ability to apply test technologies and procedures required to troubleshoot and maintain a complex Digital/Analog Electronic Toll Collection System is critical. - Familiarity with circuit tests and debugging protocols is necessary in the daily preventive maintenance and overall system operational maintenance requirements. - PC based tools such as Communication Utility software, MS Office are essential.

Education - Associates degree in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering - Or a Certificate from an accredited trade or Military school with 2 years* experience.
