Area Manager

Telvent, a part of Schneider Electric, currently has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to assume the role of Area Manager in our Fort Lauderdale, FL location.

Responsibilities
The successful Area Manager candidate will demonstrate the ability to win project assignments via:

- Long range marketing strategy implementation
- Preparation of technical, price proposals & oral presentations
- Direct project work managing staff to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements

The area manager is a leader who can motivate staff and help position the company for increased growth and profitability.

Requirements
- Candidate must be well known at the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) with at least Five years* experience working with FDOT.
- Strong understanding of Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS) plan, design, construction, integration, operation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills including industry relationships and strong written and oral communication skills.
- Florida Professional Engineering license is preferred but not required.
