Telvent USA *Tolling Division has an immediate opening for a senior Java web/middle tier engineer. As part of the web development team, you will be working on migrating the existing 2-tier desktop application to 3-tier web based application. This is a near *green field* project, and requires both architecture and implementation skills. The data layer is an Oracle back-end.

The current desktop application is a mission critical monitoring and management tool that contains heavy graphical elements. The position is part of the team responsible for migrating the desktop application to a web application. You will be responsible for managing the entire SDLC from requirements gathering, designing, prototyping, documentation, coding, review, testing, release and maintenance.

Required skills & experience
* Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field
* 7+ year*s experience in web development experience using Enterprise Java
* 7+ year*s experience in installing, maintaining and deploying Java based Application Servers like JBoss
* 2 year*s experience with any scripting language
* Superior English writing and communication skills
* Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones
* Understanding of enterprise software design principles * architecture, design patterns, OOP
* Familiarity with multi-threaded applications

Additional beneficial skills & experience:
* Familiarity with OO programming and concepts, MVC pattern is very beneficial
* Good knowledge of Framework development environment
* Linux Administration/Management/Familiarity, including configurations
* Knowledge of web services implementation is a plus
* Automation concepts and practical experience
* Experience with Oracle database as backend
* Team Oriented yet able to complete tasks and objectives independently and fully
* Able to communicate proficiently with other team members as well as business stakeholders
