Junior Systems Engineer Telvent Tolling New York, NY
Telvent is seeking a junior to mid-level Systems Engineer to work as a part of a team to integrate, deploy, test and maintain Real-time Advanced Traveler Information Systems. The candidate will work to support existing systems as well as new systems that are deployed. This candidate should have the background in an engineering related field.
Responsibilities - Experience with server virtualization (configuration and support) - Knowledge of MS SQL 7.0/200/2005 and should be able to write SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers as well as perform basic SQL MS tasks such as backing up and restoring a database - Knowledge of Windows Server OS 2000,2003, and 2008 operations and maintenance - Knowledge of basic networking troubleshooting - Ability to prioritize and complete projects/tasks within timelines - Ability to multi-task within or across projects with minimal direction - Strong organization skills - Strong critical thinking and written communication skills Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science - 2-6 years related experience
