Schneider Electric currently has an outstanding opportunity for an IT professional to assume the role of Computer Operations Specialist. This individual will monitor, maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems used for our real-time content delivery systems. In this position you will be supporting, documenting, maintaining, or upgrading Windows and Linux computer systems and associated data processing applications. This individual must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures used in the operation and troubleshooting of associated systems. This position is on second shift. Responsibilities
* System-wide monitoring and support of real-time data processing and content distribution systems
* Timely response to automated monitoring systems to maximize system up-time
* Identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide solutions for the organization*s content delivery applications
* Assist with computer system administration, maintenance, and hardware and software upgrades
* Create timely and accurate event notification and logging as directed by manager
* Coordinate with other IT areas to resolve problems when necessary
* Conduct computer system hardware and software testing
* Conduct other assignments which assist in carrying out the mission of the IT department

Requirements
* A Bachelor*s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems, or an Associate*s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems with 2 years of experience in supporting product and business applications, or at least 4 years equivalent work experience with information systems support required
* Three years of experience working with UNIX/Linux required
* Experience with Microsoft Windows a plus
* Proven success with technical troubleshooting and problem solving
* Ability to communicate with customers and IT personnel to ensure the implementation of accurate rules and requirements
* The hours for this position will be Monday-Friday from 3:00-11:00pm
* Must participate in a rotating on-call schedule for 24 x7 support
