Design, develop, test and debug embedded system software, written in C/C++. This position will require working as an integral part of the total development team with other software engineers, hardware engineers, test engineers, field engineers, marketing, and manufacturing. Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions that meet customer requirements.

Skills :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or computer science.
• Minimum 5 years experience in software development environment including lower-level as well as application development
• Programming experience in C
• Experience with ARM and Coldfire processors
• Experience developing/maintaining time sensitive control processes.
• Basic understanding of hardware/software interfaces

Responsibilities :

• Provide technical support to help solve field problems for customers and technical personnel
• Design and implement, either working alone or as part of a software team, high quality software solutions to meet or exceed product requirements.
• Participate in product definition and design specification processes
• Evaluate alternative solutions and makes recommendations of optimal technical approaches.
• Participate in the development of software to interface with production test equipment.
• Work with hardware engineers on defining interfaces and making hardware/software trade-offs.
• Perform thorough testing and evaluation of software to ensure maximum quality levels and complete functionality.
• Troubleshoot and debug software issues in a timely and effective manner.
