Volt's Client, one of the World's Largest Online Travel Agencies is looking for you - a Database Developer experienced in ETL using SAP Data Services, DB2, Business Objects and Informatica.
Your Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Gathering Requirement Solicitations and assessing Business Rules.
Performing source-to-target data mapping.
Designing, reviewing, implementing and optimizing ETL Processes using SAP Data Services for the SAP HR Rapid Data Mart product implementation.
Reviewing Development and Test Specifications.
Providing Development Support for existing systems and troubleshooting data and/or system issues.
Building/extending toolsets, creating/maintaining batch jobs and creating Systems Documentation.
Performing Data Analysis and identify data related issues, as needed.
This is an estimated 5 month Contingent/Temporary position in Seattle, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources which is located in Redmond, WA. Requirements:
Database Developer Qualifications:
Experience with large Data Warehouse Implementation is a must.
Strong skills in RapidDecisions/Sap RapidMart Suite or SAP DataServices (ETL) toolsets.
Experience with RDBMS, ETL and Business Intelligence Tools.
Strong skills in DB2 stored procedures, views, etc. preferred.
Ability to create, read, understand and interpret Data Models.
Experience working in a large Data Warehouse environment.
7-9 years of Solid Data Warehousing experience with emphasis on RapidDecisions/Sap RapidMart Suite or SAP DataServices (ETL) tool.
Highly experienced Developer in ETL Development using DB2 and SAP Data Service required.
Solid experience in ETL using Business Objects and Informatica technologies.
Experience with at least 3 Full Life Cycle Implementations in: SAPRapid Data Mart or RapidDecisions.
Knowledge of Industry Best Practices for SAP Data Services/Rapid Data Mart implementations.
Strong Scripting skills to perform Data/File Manipulation (e.g., PERL).
Database Development in an MPP DW environment with an eye for tuning and performance is required.
Development background should include experience in Informatica Power Center version 8.5.1, but this is not required.
Education: MS/BS degree in a computer science field or related discipline.
Soft Skill Attributes:
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret data schemas, with emphasis on DB2 implementations.
Proven ability to create and maintain online and printed documentation.
Must have strong customer service and technical skills.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally to deliver appropriate resolution of technical, procedural and operational issues.
Must be able to drive investigations to completion and ensure customer satisfaction.
Must be flexible, motivated and organized to work in a fast-paced environment.
