Volt Technical Resources is seeking candidates for a Full-Time, Direct Hire Liaison Engineer position with Our Client in Aurora, OR, a local helicopter company. The purpose of the position is to provide technical support to Engineering and other departments in order to assist with in-service problems, production issues and repair schemes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Liaison Engineer:
Proposes solutions to develop proposed disposition of defective or damaged parts, components and assemblies for submittal to the Material Review Board (MRB); becomes a member of the MRB as relevant experience is demonstrated to the Director of Engineering.
Investigates reports of defective, damaged or malfunctioning parts, assemblies, systems or equipment to determine nature of problem and potential solutions.
Develops repairs and salvage schemes for both new production parts and in-service parts and components.
Facilitates communication between other Engineering disciplines, as well as Quality, Materials, and Vendors relative to repair schemes and Engineering-related Production problems.
Coordinates and authors Service Letters; also coordinates with FAA Designated Engineering Representatives (DER) on Structural repairs.
Facilitates the Parts Review Board to develop DER-approved repairs for parts.
Interprets Engineering drawings, and facilitates correction of errors on drawings and documents identified during Manufacturing and Maintenance operations.
Conducts technical research using the Internet.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Required Skills for this Liaison Engineer position include the following:
High School Diploma with an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required; an Associate's degree in a technically-oriented field desirable
Applicants without an A&P license also eligible for this position, if they have a BS Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Aeronautical Engineering
Four (4) years of diversified experience on Transport Category Rotorcraft
Must possess understanding of Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Engineering Drawings and Engineering Specifications
Must also have an understanding of rudimentary Engineering Structural Analysis methods
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Must meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Soft Skills/Experience/Knowledge:
Strong organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to present ideas, concepts and proposals with a wide range of audiences at all levels (i.e. technical and non-technical, internal and external)
Ability to conduct oneself in accordance with the Company's Core Values
