Volt Technical Resources is seeking a Software Developer for a long-term position with Our Client in Hillsboro, OR, a large IT Company who is a leader in IT Product Development.
Position Description:
Specifically, Our Client is looking for a Software Developer who is experienced with hands-on Software Development and Testing.
This position will consist of Cellular Protocol Stack Analysis, Automation Solution Design and Development, and Testing. The Software Developer will work on Test Process Automation for both lab and field tests, for Our Client's Standard and Advanced Technology team in the Mobile Communications Group. Daily directions/instructions will be given by the Sponsor.
This is an estimated 18-month contingent / temporary position in Hillsboro, OR, through Volt Technical Resources, located in Portland, OR. Requirements:

Required Skills for this Software Developer (Mobile/Cellular) position include the following:

Must have a High School Diploma
Working knowledge of the Software Engineering Development process and Project Life Cycle
Must possess Advanced Programming experience, including Object-Oriented Development, Java, C++, JavaScript, Database (Access), MATLAB, Regular Expression and Scripting
Experience with Tools Automation and Integration/Testing of Mobile Broadband and/or cellular devices; excellent knowledge of Mobile Broadband/Cellular (i.e. 2G/3G, GGE, UMTS, WCDMA) Protocols and Infrastructure
Hands-on experience with Protocol and/or Wireless RF equipment (Operator level)

Additional Skills Desired (Nice to Have):

Experience with Python, KML and Web Application Development that processes databases and generates Statistics Graphs
Good knowledge of LTE and IP-based protocols
Experience with Approvals Procedures, such as GCF/PTCRB
