VOLT Technical Resources is looking for Helpdesk Technicians for one of our TOP Clients in the Austin Texas area. In this role the Helpdesk Technician will provide direct support for desktops/laptops and user access to corporate network and applications both on the network as well as through remote VPN access. They will also provide direct support for services such as office phones, cell phones/blackberry, video conferencing, remote access, corporate resources and applications. This role will require someone that is able to provide training and ongoing support to End User and Help Desk personnel, interact with hardware suppliers and software vendors in order to resolve hardware problems and technical issues, design, configure, install, create, and maintain Windows servers and support all aspects of Production and test systems, design and construct backup and recovery policies for Windows servers that host different applications, perform system monitoring and performance tuning as required to ensure Service Level Agreements are met, perform user account management, backup/restore/recovery actions, preventive maintenance, implementations of security patches and policies, and provide support for corporate network infrastructure and server support.


Requirements:

Candidate must have 1 - 3 years hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows technologies, including Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Active Directory, IIS, Exchange, SharePoint and MS SQL ServerFamiliar with backup technologies and recovery techniques for Windows serversFamiliar with an Active Directory environment for an enterprise environment. This experience should include designing global and group policies, designing OU (Organization Units) and delegating authority in an Active Directory environmentEnterprise level desktop support experience (500 users plus) Knowledge of LAN/WAN topologies and troubleshootingUnderstanding of Virtualized environments (VMWare, Hyper-V) is highly desirableExcellent customer service skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and within a teamMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
