We have just the opportunity for you! Volt is currently seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to work Swing shift on-site Ankeny, IA with our client in a contingent position expected to last approximately 3 years.

In this position the Manufacturing Supervisor will:

- Supervises and leads the development and execution of departmental plans to achieve objectives in safety, quality, schedule, efficiency and continuous improvement.

- Investigates, analyzes and resolves various system, part, people or process issues to correct deficiencies, reduce costs, improve processes/performance.

- Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit. Monitors individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adhere to policies, practices, procedures and work rules.

- Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.

- Manages and controls costs to stay within the department operating budget targets.

- Establishes employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance.

- Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.

Requirements:

- Must have 2 years minimum production supervisory experience and is able to plan thoroughly, execute consistently, engage and inspire, strong at making sound decisions, & fosters teamwork.

- Preferred experience in a leadership role in a union environment as well as previous experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems

- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and scheduling; experience in use of statistical tools and techniques for quality management; and with Production Control systems

- CANDIDATES MUST BE OPEN TO WORKING VARIABLE SHIFTS, OT AND WEEKENDS.
