HTC Global Services Inc. (www.htcinc.com) is seeking to hire a Java/J2EE Architect

Location: Chicago, IL (Must be on-site, No remote work)

Duration: Long Term

Required Skills

• 5+ years as a J2EE designer or lead developer - does not have to be a ""lead"" developer for all 5 years, but should demonstrate significant experience in the timeframe
• Clear demonstration of making design decisions and enabling the development team to realize the design
• Team leadership experience is a requirement

Technical Skills:

• Object oriented Analysis/Design
• UML
• Object oriented Modeling Tools (any are ok)
• Design patterns (examples: J2EE core patterns, 'Gang of Four')
• Java development experience
• Proven skill at implementing cross-platform solutions is desirable

Business Experience:

• 5+ years working in on financial transactions, billing, payments or money disbursement (optional)

Soft Skills

• Leadership - must be able to create a design that other team members will follow, can effectively voice their opinion in a room full of people.
• Communication- both written and verbal... The person must be able to mentor and guide developers
• Teamwork - works creatively with team members to create solutions together
• Problem solving abilities
• Willingness to learn new technologies and patterns
