Job/ Position Title: QA Lead

Job Description:

* Prior experience in software QA with a solid understanding of testing methodologies

* Results-oriented with creative problem-solving skills

* Experience in Distributed Web Application Design

* Experience working with relational databases

* Competency with web application architecture and technologies, including multi-platform/browser support

* Leader of a development or technical team

* Service Oriented Architecture experience

* Proficiency with Java programming language

* Skilled in Spring and the Spring Tool Suite

* Experience with continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins)

* Experience with plugin development for Eclipse, Jenkins, and Maven

* Experience integrating other code quality tools such as code coverage and static analysis into the quality process

* Experience in Sonar

* Hands-on experience with an automated UI testing tool across a variety of web browsers

* Experience with performance testing and/or backend automated testing

* Experience with Unit tests

* Experience with additional programming languages (e.g. COBOL, SFX)

 

This role’s primary responsibility will be:

* Java code review (ensuring that code meets industry and client standards)

* Review and implement new tooling that will help with static analysis of code, including continuous integration practices

* Responsible for providing mentoring and guidance on how to maintain quality when working with complex solutions.

* Facilitate cross-team/discipline meetings to ensure expectations and impacts are understood.

* Support continuous improvement by encouraging feedback on quality practices through escalation to the Quality Engineer

* Monitor quality practices and level of maturity within the DC and provide metrics to DC Leadership

* Escalate common quality issues

* Participate in the ABC Quality Engineering community

* Research and develop practices that align with Industry standards

* Facilitate development of solutions to issues

* Develop automation when possible to enforce automatic compliance with Quality expectations

* Initiate SOW work when ideas need to be developed and implemented

* Initiate critical changes when issues are discovered

* Partner with vendors to ensure the same expectations are upheld in Results Based Contracts as well as internal development

* Dedicated to ensuring delivery of quality in every line of code, every artifact, every day
