The BAO Extract/Transform/Load Specialist is responsible for successful development of extract/transform/load solutions. The ETL Specialist conducts data mapping, designs, develops and implements extract/transform/load processes using custom ETL or ETL tools.

In addition, the ETL Specialist will support software upgrades, software documentation, research of new software versions, backup / recovery, ETL Repository administration including promotion of software packages to the proper environment, troubleshooting, and technical support.

In addition, the ETL Specialist will design logical/physical models, develop and test Data Stage jobs, build an analytics layer within the existing architecture for member/consumer analytics to enable testing of new marketing strategies, and better target products for the individual, small, and mid-sized group market segments.

Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the Metro area or at an IBM client site.

Generally projects and clients are within the Metro area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel.

* High School Diploma/GED
* At least 3 years experience in designing and implementing Extract/Transform/Load solutions; analyze and process complex data structures and procedures
* At least 2 years experience in relational databases
* At least 3 years experience in ETL tool experience DataStage
* At least 3 years experience in Teradata SQL and Teradata Utilities
* At least 2 years experience in consulting responsibilities/experience and hands-on technology experience on technical engagements
* At least 3 years experience in technical requirements definition, mapping and gap analysis following development standards
* At least 2 years experience in hands-on development, integration, and infrastructure experience
* At least 2 years experience in application deployment planning and execution
* Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
* English: Basic knowledge
