The primary role of the Senior Storage Architect is to respond to proposals. The hired candidate will develop in-depth technical storage solutions to meet customer req. A high level of expert consultative knowledge of a wide array of storage skills, including competitive storage skills is expected. Cand. should have exp. designing large, complex storage solutions & be familiar with architectural methods. Cand. should have knowledge of IBM and/or non-IBM storage hardware, Storage Resource Management (SRM) software, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Content Addressed Storage (CAS) solutions. Candidate should have knowledge of current storage practices and practices relating to virtualization, thin provisioning, disaster recovery, data de-duplication, encryption, backup and recovery, and storage tiering technologies. Demonstrated high degree of general storage knowledge, strong exposure to host operating systems, backup architectures, host and storage virtualization, and deduplication solutions offered by IBM, Hitachi, EMC and Network Appliance. Candidate is a problem-solver, detail-oriented, analytical, and resourceful with excellent oral and written communications skills, with extensive and varied technical skills, who has a demonstrated knowledge of data center technologies including server, network, and applications that improve end-to-end storage solutions.
