The Managing Consultant will assist in the implementation activities of IBM Information Lifecycle Governance (ILG) software and solutions for IBM customers. Candidate must help fulfill the company's standards for customer advocacy by engaging with customers in the highest value manner, partnering with customers and fellow employees to address real business challenges and exemplifying IBM.
Critical skills include listening and problem solving in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail, follow-through and responsiveness to customer needs. Prior experience with consulting, business applications, solving process and business problems with software applications and technical knowledge are necessary. Work closely with Project Management, Sales, Development, and Support teams to ensure customer needs are addressed.

Acts as the functional (business) subject matter expert and consultant for process implementation activities for customer engagements
Be a Subject Matter Expert on IBM Information Lifecycle Governance (ILG) products such as IBM Enterprise Records, IBM Content Collector, IBM eDiscovery Manager, IBM Classification Module, the IBM Atlas Suite and others
Be a Subject Matter Expert on Information Governance standards, processes and best practices
As a functional consultant, understands the business drivers that customers face, and the customer environments where IBM ILG solutions are deployed
Gather, document and understand customer business requirements
Participate in the solution design for the client based on customer requirements
Prompt, thorough, professional response to customer requests, issues, and requirements
Develop and maintain personal knowledge on ILG products
Participate actively in planning and conducting implementation meetings, planning and demonstration sessions
Troubleshoot functional issues arising from implementations.
Work with IBM ECM Support and Development Teams to resolve technical implementation issues
Work with enterprise customers and understand and document their IT environment and their network and application security requirements

Participate in product roadmap planning

Is self-motivated and dedicated to customer success Required * High School Diploma/GED * At least 5 years experience in implementing Enterprise applications and solutions * At least 3 years experience in knowledge of enterprise applications, such as ECM, CRM or ERP * At least 5 years experience in facilitating workshops with client technical personnel, senior Line-of-Business and IT execs and their teams * At least 5 years experience in documenting key business requirements around target initiative and translate into a high-impact deliverable * At least 5 years experience in strong written and verbal communication skills * Readiness to travel 50% travel annually * English: Fluent
Preferred * Bachelor's Degree * At least 3 years experience in Prior implementation knowledge of IBM Information Lifecycle Governance products * At least 3 years experience in Experience with records management, content management, storage management software, litigation support software or EDD services * At least 5 years experience in Experience working with Legal Teams to understand Legal business requirements or Experience working with Legal as an attorney, paralegal, IT or Records Management personnel within a Legal department * At least 3 years experience in Utilize best practices and methodologies to define/deliver the IBM solutions
Additional information Has prior customer-facing, consulting implementation experience. Has in-depth knowledge of a specific competency and/or industry. Demonstrates required skill proficiencies.
Average of 40 - 50% travel required both domestically (US) and Internationally to deliver services to customers on site. Work location assumed to be mobile office (home when not traveling), but must have ready access to a local airport for required business travel. Must have a valid passport.
NOTE: This role can be located in any large metropolitan US City.
