Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking seeking Java Developers at all levels  to work on their J2EE eCommerce platform. Candidate will work or lead direction on technical projects that affect the websites, call center, and distribution centers. In this role you will work with a team transitioning into a J2EE architecture using ATG for eCommerce and other supporting applications. One Lead candidate will need to provide mentorship and direction to an existing team during the development life cycle as they learn the existing business infrastructure and help lead development on future eCommerce growth. Preference will be given to candidates that have successfully implemented ATG Commerce, through strong experience with J2EE eCommerce development will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilize existing Java/ATG development experience to guide development lifecycle through potential pitfalls and best practice J2EE development standards
• Analyze customer business requirements and software/product objectives; develop an application design in products to meet customer needs. Serve as a technical advisor and problem solver to business and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of the J2EE/ATG language to define, build and deploy online commerce and self service applications
• Estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project
• Translate management and creative content requirements into visual and architectural design
• Work closely with others assigned the tasks of web content development and web data analysis
• Keep up to date on ATG and Java web technologies and developments
• Update and troubleshoot corporate web sites
• Implement technologies to interact with databases and render information via web browser


QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Mathematics, Software Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree or equivalent experience is desirable
• Experience and knowledge with an eCommerce platform and retail business environment Preferably eCommerce application development and support; multi-channel and multi-brand retail experience a plus
• J2EE, JSP, XML, XSLT as well as the ability to write and execute SQL queries
• Experience in full life cycle J2EE solution implementation from conceptualization, requirements, design and specification through development (coding), QA/debugging, integration testing, deployment and follow-up support
• Broad understanding of eCommerce technology tools, providers and trends
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Must possess a strong attention to detail, superior follow-up skills and be results oriented
• Exposure/experience with Flash and Flex technologies is a plus
