Prestigious Global Trading Firm, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a SQL Database Administrator. Candidate will be involved in database development projects. Tasks can include SQL code writing and tuning, C# development, hardware and SQL Server maintenance, as well as general database infrastructure support.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree
* 2-4 years of experience
* Curious about new technologies
* Excellent problem solving skills, especially in mathematics
* Interest in administrative and operational tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of SQL language (ANSI SQL, T-SQL, PL SQL)
* Working experience with SQL Server/Oracle databases
* Ability to communicate with developers as well as with less-technical business users
* Entry level knowledge of database operations (backups/restores, security)
* Entry level skill set of database performance tuning/indexing
* Entry level knowledge of networking
* Familiarity with Active Directory
