Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Business Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial clients in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:  


* As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work with IT and Commercial Card business personnel to understand business strategy, requirements and their implication to Commercial Card products, and capabilities of legacy and new applications/systems (internal and customer-facing).

* You will be responsible for documenting functional capabilities of PaymentNet4 systems and associated processes.

* You will work with both IT and business personnel to develop functional design specifications that adhere to design standards to meet defined business requirements.

* You will be responsible for end-to-end analysis and design of Commercial Card business systems including needs assessment, requirements gathering, risk assessment, use cases, and functional specifications.

* Work may include analysis/documentation of PaymentNet4 systems, analysis/design of enhancements to PaymentNet4 systems, or requirements gathering and design in support of new product development.

* You will work with Commercial Card IT technical analysts/developers to ensure clear understanding of functional specifications and quality assurance specialists to ensure effective development of test plans, scenarios, and scripts.

* Adherence to structured software development lifecycle processes and procedures will be expected.

Required Skills:  


* Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience as a business systems analyst. Most recent work experience must be related to the job responsibilities of a business systems analyst.

* Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent analytical skills.

* Experience in development of structured use cases.

* Experience in structured software development methodology (Agile or Waterfall exposure required).

* Experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

* Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

* Experience with Rational tools (e.g. RequisitePro, ClearQuest, ClearCase) a plus.

* Experience with HP Quality Center a plus.

* Experience working on a financial application a plus.

* Experience working within an onshore/offshore model IT environment preferred.

Preferred Skills:  


* Credit Card industry experience preferred.
