Job Description
- Linux Systems Administrator
- Irving, TX
We require a Linux Systems Administrator to perform daily admin tasks for the OSS Unix team. This will be in support of Terremark Managed Hosting and Cloud environment, including patch management, build automation release management, and infrastructure problem management.
Responsibilities include:
* Daily administration and problem management of the Linux Configuration Services management systems
* Daily monitoring and problem management of the Linux patching process for Terremark Managed Hosting
* Perform and QA Linux builds across all hardware and virtual platforms for new minor OS releases
* Tier1 response for incoming trouble tickets for Linux Configuration Services
* Perform Linux builds and other Systems Administration assignments.
Required Skills & Experience
* This position requires technical expertise and 3+ years direct experience with the following:
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux
* CentOS
* YUM
* Puppetlabs Puppet
* Perl/Python Scripting
* Associates or Bachelor's Degree Required
Desired Skills & Experience
* HP Server Automation (Opsware)
* MySql Database administration + SQL query knowledge
* Redhat Cluster experience
