- Senior Calibration Engineer 6
Put your years of experience to good use providing needed mentorship and guidance for calibration of cutting edge sensors. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's premier technology development team for future sensors.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide system level concept development for calibration systems
* Provide mentorship and training of engineers new to the field
* Development and build of space flight EO/IR hardware
* Modeling capability for calibration and performance of future sensors
* Document concepts, analyses, and support internal and external customer briefings.
* Lead a team of engineers on EO/IR sensor development
Bachelors Degree in Optics, Physics, or related field; Ability to communicate clearly, both via written documents and presentation skills; 10+ years experience in design and systems engineering of EO/IR Sensors for air and space applications; 10+ years experience in EO/IR sensor calibration. US Citizenship and active Security Clearance required to start.
Ph.D in Optics, Physics, or related field; recognized leader in the calibration of EO/IR Sensors; experience with proposal development, excellent writing and communication skills; proven team leadership for space flight EO/IR sensor development; active current SSBI.
