Software Engineer: CIFS,, File System

 

looking for strong Windows/CIFS engineers to join its Engineering team to work on the CIFS/NAS product in a cloud storage environment. Responsibilities include making the SMB/CIFS implementation robust, scale exceptionally well in a WAN like deployment and perform well under very demanding conditions. Ensure compatibility between CIFS and NFS

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong background in algorithms and data structures
  • Must be proficient in UNIX/C/C++
  • Deep knowledge of CIFS/SMB protocol
  • Understanding of Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, Kerberos protocols
  • Ability to work across the various layers – File Systems, Management layer, Protocol layer
  • Successful track record of delivering high quality products/releases on time
  • Passionate about performance and scalability
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills
  • Self-Starter with the ability to remain flexible and learn new technologies quickly
  • Can do attitude and flexibility in taking on various assignments to make the company successful
  • Work well with other strong developers
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills
  • Ability to interact and collaborate with other strong developers
  • Excellent teamwork, written and verbal communication skills

Highly desirable:

  • Familiarity with security Protocols, such as Kerberos
  • Unix Kernel knowledge
  • Experience in analyzing Network Traces
