Kforce has been retained by one of its local clients to find an IT Application Security Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in the Cincinnati, Ohio (OH) area.

This role is responsible, under the direction of the Director of ITRSM, to manage security topics such as database interaction, identity management, authentication methods, encryption, entitlements, login, and input to implement information technology risk strategies as well as maintaining controls and procedures to ensure application security.

Qualifications:
* Software Engineering/Development, Familiarity with enterprise Architectures
* Functional knowledge of cryptography: SSL, PGP, AES, SHA-2, Fluent in at least one programming language
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience with authentication systems
* Familiar with database and SQL concepts

Preferred:
* Sun Certified Java Developer, SOA-Security or Sun Certified Enterprise Architect
