Realize the rewards of conquering a new challenge at Northrop Grumman Information Systems! NGIS has multiple positions available to develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions. Design or customize software for operational efficiency. Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements. Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Analyze and develop computer systems possessing a wide range of capabilities, including numerous engineering, business and records management functions. Develop plans for automated information systems from project inception to conclusion including systems requirements determination. Design software tools and subsystems to support software reuse and domain analyses and manages their implementation. Manage software development and support using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Roles and Responsibilities

* Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

* Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts, and peripheral equipment modifications

* Review existing programs and assist in making refinements, reducing operating time, and improve current techniques

* Ensure proper implementation of program and system specifications with programmers

* Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment

* Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation

* Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications

* Evaluate factors such as reporting formats required, cost constraints, and need for security restrictions to determine hardware configuration

* Supervise work of programmers, technologists and technicians and other engineering and scientific personnel

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an Engineering related field, and 6 years minimum experience.

* Experience with a broad range of technology, including but not limited to SQL Server, T-SQL, C, C++, Unix, Java and a wide range of automation technologies

* Ability to quickly learn new technologies as required

* Ability to work in a self directed manner

* Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written) with customer and effectively collaborate within team

* Experience using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tool

* Experience developing and writing computer programs

* Requires an active and current TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph
