Job Description

Must have: Background fluid conveyance and significant experience with space programs for Boeing and NASA

SUMMARY
Overall project responsibility for leading the design, integration, and certification of hydraulic and/or fuel systems of space programs for Boeing and NASA.
Responsible for technical management of complete project lifecycle from bid and proposal through verification and validation.


RESPONSIBILITIES
Joint requirements development and negotiation with internal and external customers
Definition of physical and functional interface control documents for hydraulic and/or fuel systems of space programs for Boeing and NASA
Perform reviews on drawings, models, stress reports, Qualification Test Reports (QTP), Acceptance Test Reports (ATP), QSR (Qualification by similarity reports).
Translate the product specifications into functional requirements and work with designers to create a concept design Work with Stress Engineers and CFD Engineers to perform stress and flow analysis.
Interface with Manufacturing, Quality / Inspection Group, Testing, Program Management Team during the development cycle.
Preparation of deliverable documents required for airworthiness certification
Recommend product and process changes through application of continuous improvement principles


Job Requirements :
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering; Masters degree (MS) or MBA preferred
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through 7-9 years of related experience
Experience in design, integration, and certification of aerospace systems.
An understanding of aerospace qualification requirements and development and design of hydraulic and/or fuel systems
Has significant experience with space programs for Boeing and NASA is highly desirable
