We are seeking a EMC Solutions Architect for our growing Professional Services team. In this role you will be responsible for the overall technical architecture and design of the environment. This role is highly consultative in design and architecture for EMC storage environments. You will design and provide ongoing recommendations and Best Practices from a technical and operational level to the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Provides technical leadership and is responsible for the delivery of the technical architectural design, strategies and plans that will be a delivered on an ongoing basis.
* Responsible for ongoing management of configuration and layout of storage infrastructure.
* Performs necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with EMC and customer's change management policies.
* Designs data migration architecture as required.
* Provides analysis of Environment and Best Practice knowledge transfer.
* Responsible for Runbook Design, Development, and ongoing updates.
* Responsible for ongoing recommendations and best practices, as applicable, for the following areas: Business Continuity, High
Availability, Backup, Recovery and Archiving.
* Responsible for Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery Planning and design as applicable.
* Provides ITIL Process Planning as applicable.
* Recommend changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
* Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews when applicable.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
* 5+ years in a storage / technology architecture environment
* Strong consultative skills at a cross functional level
* Architecture and design experience for complex environments
* Proficiency in EMC hardware, software and/or operating systems environments
* Knowledge of job associated programming and scripting languages
* Possesses strong product/technology/industry knowledge
* Knowledge of job associated database/software/documentation

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
Qualified candidates should have solid experience with any combination of the following:
* Symmetrix VMAX / DMX
* CLARiiON
* Celerra
* Cisco
* Brocade
* EMC Control Center (ECC)
* SRDF
* Timefinder
* RecoverPoint
* Avamar
* Legato Networker
* Mixed Operating Systems (Windows and UNIX)
