YuMe is seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer (TSE) with exceptional organization, communication and technical skills. The right candidate is a customer-focused individual responsible for handling day-to-day customer support and technical integration activity. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical aptitude, with precise written and verbal communication skills. This candidate will be able to speak to technical and non-technical audiences with ease.  Your responsibilities include providing publisher assistance in online/ctv/mobile technical integrations, developing and maintaining workflow, communication and customer interface processes and procedures to create a world-class support organization. You should be highly energetic, entrepreneurial, technical, and be able to think quickly in a customer-oriented environment.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support internal and external clients with ad serving configuration, campaign delivery issues
  • Utilize debugging skills on online, mobile, CTV to solve client issues
  • Work closely with Business Development and Engineering teams to align expectations and drive YuMe’s Platform integrations
  • Develop strong cross-functional relationships to further advocate best interests of YuMe and customers
  • Scale partnerships from a technical standpoint
  • Log and monitor the support given by the technical support team across given periods
  • Become an expert in video and all of YuMe’s proprietary systems

Relationship Management:

  • Provide World Class Client Service by communicating to clients in a proactive, consistent and informative manner
  • Develop an ongoing relationship with YuMe’s platform and inventory publishers
  • Work with the Business Development and Publisher Account Management teams to ensure a smooth end to end process for all new publishers
  • Work with YuMe Network Ad Operations team to support ad campaign fulfillment on YuMe network.

Work Experience:

  • BA or BS in accredited 4 year university (written and spoken English is required)
  • 3+ years of technical sales or technical support experience
  • Experience with one or more ad serving platforms (display/rich media/mobile/video) is highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with flash (as2/as3), Flex, Actionscript, Javascript, Charles, HTML, HTTP will be a big plus
  • Knowledge of various video player technologies is a must.
  • A background in online advertising, or Internet technologies/companies
  • Scripting knowledge and experience such as Javascript, Brightscript (Roku)
  • Knowledge of HTML5, iOS and Android mobile platforms
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams
  • Good written and oral communication skills 
  • Experience in a Unix/Linux environment a plus.
  • Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multi-tasking ability

 

Technical Skills:

  • Experience of CRMs such as Salesforce
  • Familiar with HTTP, HTTPS, HTML FTP protocols
  • Strong understanding of cookie based technology used for retargeting, behavioral targeting, frequencing capping, conversion tracking
  • Online http trace/debugging (any or all of Charles, Firebug, Wireshark, Chrome Developer Tools, Fiddler, remote debugging)
  • Experience with some of the following: iOS, Android, HTML5, Flash Develop, Samsung SDK, LG SDK, Grep, Eclipse IDE.
