Visual Soft, Inc is seeking qualified candidates to work on its contract in Washington, DC.

Title: Operations Manager
Salary:Based on Experience

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: Long Term

Job descrption:

  • Overseeing the technical operations that fall under the resulting task order
  • Managing customer interactions
  • Providing quality assurance
  • Handling any issues, problems, using aTicket Tracking System issues
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly reports
  • Communicating to Contracting Officer or designee any major issues, trends, or escalated problems that may need attention from management
  • Implementing a standard IT service management frame work detecting service and system outages and communicate this to management and end-users
  • Ensuring operational tasks are completed (log reviews, backups, ticket reviews, checklists, etc.)
  • Ensuring escalated service requests are handled in a timely manner
  • Coordinating projects across technical teams
  • Coordinating systems upgrades and software deployments
  • Ensuring patches are installed and verified on all systems in accordance with the SLAs
  • Provide end-user communication for service outages, system upgrades, service improvements, service implementation, and service retirements.
  • Provide proper capacity planning
  • Developing standards for workstations, mobile devices, printers, and other devices routinely procured by the Commission
  • Identifying areas for process improvements
  • Performing patching of desktop Microsoft hotfixes and security updates using SCCM
  • Performing patching of high-risk third-party desktop applications


Qualifications for the Operations Manager position shall include:

  • Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) areas of expertise
  • Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent
  • Significant experience in using Microsoft SCCM
  • Significant experience in using BMC Service Desk Express (SDE) or equivalent ticket tracking system

This person shall have excellent communications skills and have expert knowledge of IT standards and methodologies.
 
 
Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field) or equivalent

Clearance:  Must have an active Secret or Top Secret level of clearance
