Essential Duties

Participate in the full life-cycle development of web-based applications in a Microsoft development environment.  The SSRS Developer will be responsible in delivering dynamic reporting solutions which provide both internal/external clients meaningful data that aids in program related decision making. This role requires the candidate to completely understand complex large scale data models and the underlying grant management business processes and produce reports in various formats.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 8 years’ database development experience on MS SQL Server or Oracle platform
• Minimum 5 years’ experience developing reporting solutions on Microsoft SQL Server platform or other intuitive graphical reporting tools, like Business Objects or MicroStrategy
• Minimum 3 years’ experience developing impactful reports/templates using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services  (SSRS) on SQL Server 2005 or 2008 platform
• Experience with following technologies is also highly desirable:
• .Net 4.0 framework
• C# and/or Visual Basic.NET in ASP.NET environment
• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• Windows Server hosting environment
• Strong experience analyzing and developing application reporting solutions involving combinations of platforms, networks, and database technologies
• Strong experience designing layout of reports and determine the best way to present data to end users
• Strong experience writing efficient and well-tuned T-SQL functions and stored procedures
• Strong experience integrating SSRS reports into ASP.NET web application
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), source control and change/release management procedures is required, practical experience in building change/release management scripts is highly desirable
• Practical experience in data quality analysis is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Section 508 compliance requirements and HTML5 specifications for web based applications is desirable
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to work with Minimal Supervision
• Good team player

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent work experience

Microsoft certification is highly desirable
