As a Healthcare Solutions Engineer with the NetApp Solutions and Integrations Group, you will apply your SAN and NAS storage infrastructure expertise to design solutions for enterprise healthcare applications. You will also perform validations and develop application integrations as part of our technical enablement projects. Major responsibilities include the design and documentation of reference solutions for healthcare applications using NetApp storage, solution performance validation and presentation of our healthcare solutions to a variety of different groups inside and outside of NetApp.

Essential Functions:
* Design and validate solutions composed of enterprise class healthcare applications built on NetApp storage.

* You will be responsible for developing technical collateral for best practices, design, testing, deployment, and sizing of healthcare solutions.

* Create and deliver technical presentations describing validations, integrations and reference solutions targeting peers, customers and the NetApp field.

* Evaluate new and competitive technologies for inclusion in healthcare solutions.

* You will lead projects and be accountable for project deliverables working with cross-functional teams with limited supervision and occasionally lead inter-department cross functional teams.

* You will lead projects and be responsible for managing and designing partner integrations highlighting NetApp technologies.

Requirements:

* Demonstrated hands on experience in designing, sizing, installing, and tuning storage solutions based on a wide variety of application requirements.

* Demonstrated hands on experience installing and managing server hardware, as well as both IP and FC network infrastructure supporting CIFS, NFS, iSCSI or FCP.

* Install, configure, and tune server operating systems such as Linux, AIX, Windows Server, and Solaris in SAN and NAS environments.

* Demonstrated experience validating enterprise application integrations and conducting performance testing.

* Diagnose and troubleshoot integration issues and performance problems in enterprise applications.

* Demonstrated ability to present complex information to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and professional manner.

* Strong aptitude and desire for learning new technologies.

* Ability to communicate in a clear and concise professional manner, tailored to the appropriate audience; including both verbal and written communications.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment.

* Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas.

* Solve difficult technical problems within the scope of the project, without management assistance.

o You will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving problems that are complex in scope requiring in-depth evaluation.

o You must work effectively with Staff to Vice President level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties.
o Limited supervision and direction is provided. This individual will operate and drive both tactical and strategic results and set priorities with management assistance.
o The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor.
o To be successful, you must demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others.
o Often acts as a mentor to junior engineers and assists with integrating new hire engineers into the team.

Education & Experience:
* * A Bachelor of Science or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or related technical discipline; or equivalent experience is required.


A minimum of 8 years of experience is required; 9 to 11 years of experience is preferred. Experience in a related field is required, of which 5 years were spent designing, installing, testing, and documenting enterprise applications in SAN and NAS storage environments.
* Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, complex technical projects.
* Demonstrated experience in authoring technical white papers as well as project conceptualization and planning, is preferred.
* Prior experience with healthcare applications and clinical workflows is considered a big plus
* Previous experience with scripting languages and automation tools is a plus.
* Prior experience using enterprise applications in virtualized environments like VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V is desirable.
