Description:

Our client would like us to provide them with a temp to perm Test Lead/Coordinator who will have two separate t responsibilities. The first part of the role will be performing client-facing pharma validation testing. In addition, the successful candidate will coordinate an offshore testing team and perform some hands on .NET or mainframe testing.  Candidate should possess a demonstrated track record leading and coordinating an offshore team. The candidate should have a mixture of some hands on testing experience and at least 3-5 years’ experience leading an offshore team. The role will require some travel (20-25%) to client sites. The successful candidate needs to be client facing and have many years’ experience working alongside the client, especially during User Acceptance Testing.

Responsibilities and skill set for pharma validation testing:

  • Advanced testing knowledge and experience leading testing engagements with a preference in the Pharma Industry.
  • Understanding of SDLC methodology and documentation.
  • Extensive experience in writing software test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with 21 CFR Part 11 and Part 203 compliance.
  • Experience working in complex testing environments including multiple testing streams and validated pharma environments.
  • Experience meeting with developers, project managers, and client stakeholders to plan & prioritize test strategies.
  • Experience working with defect tracking and test management systems.
  • Experience with leading groups and driving project teams to meet goals and deliverables.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels with internal resources and external clients.
  • Ability to travel and work independently at client sites.
  • Work with Project Manager to identify scope of testing activities and develop realistic testing timelines.
  • Identify testing risks and dependencies, then create mitigation strategies.
  • Consult with client QA department and stakeholders to set/manage expectations regarding testing efforts.
  • Work with BAs and client stakeholders to understand the project business requirements and identify possible validation needs.
  • Work with client QA department to clearly delineate validation responsibilities and expectations.
  • Create test plan outlining testing strategies and testing streams. Guide test plan through the approval process.
  • Lead effort to author test cases and guide test cases through the approval process.
  • Coordinate testing preparation activities (environment setup, client hardware, testers, etc.)
  • Assigns tasks to, mentor and guide, and track the work of testers assigned to the project.
  • Coordinate with Tech Lead and developers on defect analysis and resolution.
  • Provide status reports to client during test cycles, and author test summaries upon completion of test cycles.
  • Take bottom line responsibility for timely and high-quality execution of testing activities.

In addition to above and when not traveling and working directly along the client, the ideal individual will be used to assist as needed with leading members of our client’s offshore delivery center test team and should possess either Mainframe or NT skills.  Prior experience leading an offshore team would be ideal and understanding the challenges that come with that.

Responsibilities and skill set for .NET testing and offshore coordination :

  • Complete knowledge of QA Best Practices and the full Testing SDLC
  • HP UNIX (Oracle) database knowledge
  • Have used SQL Server, .NET& Excel Reporting, Visio, Word, Power Point and have the ability To create complex SQL Queries
  • Quality Center (HP Testing Tool) experience using the Test Plan, Test Lab, Defect and Requirement modules
  • Knowledge of TOAD a plus
  • Ability to understand relational data models
  • Experience validating data using Databases and/or Flat files
  • Experience working with large flat files in which the candidate has experience in getting sample data from different parts/sections of the file. Should have knowledge of database tables and their relation (Referential Integrity)
  • Experience in writing and executing SQL statements to validate data
  • Experience loading data files into tables
  • Experience creating sample data based on the requirements in order to create valid test cases
  • Experience validating data using Excel
  • Ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • Thinks “outside of the box”, creative, analytical, detailed oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Candidates who possess strong technical skills as listed above or may have started out as a developer first will be given first priority
  • Candidates who also have MF knowledge will be given first priority
  • Candidates who also possess Pharma experience will be given first priority
  • LoadRunner and Mobile testing experience a strong plus
  • CSTE or SQA certification a plus
