Seeking a Test Engineer / Business Analyst to Begin IMMEDIATELY!
 

ASET Partners is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual with 3 - 5 years of relevant experience to serve as a Test Engineer / Business Analyst. The ideal candidate will a passion for quality and several years experience in a QA role, experience working as a business analyst, and experience working in an Agile development environment. The candidate must be able to independently understand requirements and design and execute test cases. The Test Engineer / Business Analyst will join our team supporting three exciting projects for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) client located in Herndon, VA. The candidate must be a team player, have strong communication and written skills. This candidate will be part of a fast-paced, and well-functioning team that uses SCRUM.

Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; Active security clearance a STRONG plus  

Position Roles and Responsibilities

The Test Engineer / Business Analyst will serve as a member of the test and development team, and will be responsible for ensuring that the software meets or exceeds quality, performance, and reliability standards. The Test Engineer / Business Analyst will be responsible for building test plans, use cases, and testing applications in general. In addition, this individual will assist in the development of requirements documents, workflows and other necessary documentation. This position is located in Herndon, VA and requires very limited if any travel within the US (at most 1 - 2 trips / year). In this role, the Test Engineer / Business Analyst will: 
 

• Develop and implement test plans
• Develop and implement automated tests for functionality, load and performance testing
• Perform Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, Performance and User Acceptance testing
• Ability to translate requirement specifications and design documents into detailed test cases
• Capable of quickly learning new technologies and adapting to a new environment
• Document requirements, develop workflows and assist in the customization of Business Process Management tools
   

Requirements/Skills 

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following skills and experience:

• 3 - 5+ years' experience testing web applications
• 2+ years' experience as a business analyst
• Experience using functional testing tools
• Strong writing and communication skills and the ability to easily translate technical concepts into easily understandable non-technical terms.
• Background in software development; experience and familiarity with Agile Development and SCRUM
• Knowledge of application programming and service oriented architectures
• High level understanding of database, system, identity management architecture and key design principles 
• Working knowledge of HTML, JAVA and Javascript
• Basic familiarity with SQL
• Capacity to work under minimal supervision
   

Although not required, the following qualifications are a plus:

• Experience programming in HTML, JAVA and Javascript
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus
• Intermediate understand of Windows and UNIX operating system environments
• Experience using and customizing Business Process Management Tools

Required Education / Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field and 3-5+ years of relevant work experience.
