Consultis, a Technical Recruiting Services Company with the single focus of pairing the right candidate and skills set with the right employment opportunity is currently searching for a Sr. Quality Assurance Analyst for a 6+ month contract opportunity with our client located in Tampa, FL. Compensation is competitive, and will depend on applicable experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute high level test plans and detailed test cases (manual and automated) in gated process environment (i.e. Waterfall), ability to produce similar artifacts in Agile process environment
• Build test plans and test cases to reflect expected results of functionality described, user expectations, and workflows. Identify, track, and validate reported defects
• Perform manual and automated testing for web-based products and data/web services
• Provide testing tasks and related estimates, adhere to schedules and project deadlines
• Align high-level/business requirements to test cases to create a traceability matrix; report status on a recurring basis to the team, including management
• Participate in the review and approval of production documentation (business requirements, detailed requirement, design documents, workflows, etc.)
• Participate in 2nd level support to troubleshoot/resolve or escalate product defects to software development
• Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported, and resolved in a timely manner; provide metrics regarding test status, defects, etc.
• Train and support user acceptance test audiences (when resources are available)
• Foster a strong team atmosphere within the IT organization, especially within the developer/tester relationship
• Promote continuous improvement in processes, tools, or quality metrics
• Challenge assumptions, question and understand how business areas will successfully execute plans
• Collaborate with IT staff and SMEs (subject matter experts) when needed to discuss test findings
• Document and deliver training as needed, both formally and informally
• Analyze and articulate cost-benefit analysis of proposed processes, tools, or quality metrics

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong working knowledge of QTP / UFT automated test software
• Proficiency in writing VB functions that allow for reusable code and generation of test field values
• SQL skills that include the ability to connect to databases, and read and write database values using QTP/VB scripting
• Proficiency with data driven tests, including working with datasheet variables and environmental variables
• Understanding of XML structure and XML parsers in QTP script development
• Working knowledge of QA's role within a variety of methodologies including Waterfall and Agile
• Understanding of database modeling and design; strong SQL / query skills
• Proficient in creating high level test plans, detailed test cases, and test automation scripts for products that have been released into commercial environments.
• Web services, client/server, and web-based testing experience
• Ability to function as a liaison between the business, technical organization, and operational areas
• Quickly understand business issues and data challenges of Member's organization and industry

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 7 years testing experience
• Industry related certifications a plus
• Insurance industry experience / knowledge a plus
• Experience with load testing and Load Runner a plus
