A successful high-tech company providing software solutions is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join company’s headquarters in northern NJ.

Job Summary:

Reporting to General Manager of the company, the Hardware engineer will serve as a leader in the company managing hardware lifecycle of server, endpoints and peripherals. The position will be responsible for  envisioning, delivering and maintaining an ongoing pipeline of competitive client & server hardware platforms.

 

Job description:

  • Deliver innovative value added platform every six months.
  • Working with product managers, R&D, manufacturing, finance, sales operations & 3rd party partners to deliver hardware systems while optimizing cost, performance, quality and time to market as well a development, introduction & maintenance efforts.
  • Hardware road mapping.
  • Prototyping, designing and integrating PC based hardware systems.
  • Managing an ongoing global country certification process.
  • End of life management.
  • Building/maintaining relationships with key hardware vendors to optimize results.
  • Managing new production introduction team.

 

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Electrical engineering.
  • Extensive experience with PC technologies, components and assemblies as well as PC based hardware system integration.
  • Hands on experience in hardware component and system testing and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in telecommunication industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and certification requirements, processes and country-specific peculiarities and experience with the testing processes (EMI, Safety & environmental etc.)
  • 10+ years of industry experience in a similar function.
  • Strong management, follow up and organizational skills.
  • Strong proactive personality coupled with excellent people skills.
