Role Summary:

Applications Operations and Services is looking for a contract Senior Application Developer, with 7 years of IT experience and with a strong working background in enterprise content management
and solid experience with Filenet IS, strong technical skills with the ability to work independently.
As a member of the team that supports our US imaging and workflow applications, responsibilities include application and infrastructure support, stability and performance management,
as well as creation of technical specifications, analysis, development and maintenance.
The desirable candidate will utilize his/her knowledge of business objectives, process, products, people, and technology, to deliver quality, cost-effective and timely solutions to business partners.
The team also supports the US Kofax capture solution and experience with Kofax Capture is a definite asset.

The Imaging and Workflow team focuses on its goals by bringing together a highly skilled team of capture, workflow, and image practitioners aimed at:

Preserving and exploiting the full value of our capture, workflow, and image technology investments
Promoting and providing delivery enablement through a consistent set of skills, standards and proven practices
Reducing overall risk of implementation on projects and project realization
Allowing for repeatable implement approaches and a consistent deployment process
Ensuring that capture, workflow, and image knowledge is shared throughout the organization

The successful candidate will be multi-skilled and adaptable as she/he will be exposed to a variety of assignments.
She/he can work effectively with our business analysts, account teams, and business partners to identify and design IT solutions that meet business needs.
The individual will use his/her knowledge of development, information security and IT architecture best practices to ensure architectural processes and direction are followed within Enterprise Applications, Information and Services.

Main Accountabilities:

The desirable candidate will utilize his/her knowledge of business objectives, process, products, people, and technology, to support the Filenet Image Services applications and environments. . Responsibilities include responding to service requests, working with infrastructure teams to provide a stable and high performing environment, debugging and problem solving, requirements analysis, performance and tuning, application development and unit testing. The desirable candidate will show initiative, be accepting of responsibility and be accountable for results, ultimately delivering IT solutions that meet our business partners' needs.

Some of the specific responsibilities are:

Provide ongoing support of Filenet Image Services and Kofax suite of tools and application systems in production including responding to service requests, problem analysis, resolution, escalation and reporting as necessary
Identify and participate in improvement, system renewal, stability, and upgrade projects
As part of a support team, interface with developers, infrastructure teams, system designers, business system analysts, application analysts and testing specialists to deliver high quality solutions and maintain a stable environment
Create and maintain supporting documentation
Provide development and infrastructure estimates at various levels of a project to match architectural solution, including assistance in business case creation
Identify and assist in the re-engineering , improvement or replacement of business processes and associated technologies
Participate in design, coding, debugging, upgrading, implementation and support of these applications
Ensure compliance with SLF Information Security and Governance Policies in delivered solutions

Competencies:

Certification and/or significant experience with Filenet Image Services Suite of tools
Proven development/analyst skills preferably with a degree in Computer Science, related technology degree/diploma, or equivalent experience
Demonstrated problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations/problems systematically and deliver effective right-sized solutions in a timely manner
Ability to work independently as well as being a strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multi-site environment
Experience with integrating vendor packages into an established production environment consisting of various technologies and platforms
Strong working background with distributed computing, client-server environments and exposure to web based applications
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle several tasks efficiently
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and stored procedures
Experience with System Development Life Cycle Methodologies

Assets:

Certification and/or significant experience with the Kofax Capture 9 suite of tools
Experience with RightFax software
Experience with the IBM FileNet P8 suite of tools
AIIM and/or CompTIA Certified Document Imaging Architect (CDIA+) credentials
Background of Change Management process, GCC requirements
Knowledge of source code management (PVCS Dimensions)
Understanding of web application development
