We are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our Sales and Marketing efforts on a national level. The ideal candidate for this position will have 2+ years experience in a business-to-business software sales environment, preferably with a financial or business applications focus. This is a dynamic opportunity for a goal-oriented, ambitious individual and provides room to grow.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New business development through targeted cold- and warm-calling, e-mail, and marketing campaign support and follow up.
- Drive attendance to live and virtual events to create potential sales opportunities.
- Reference Linked In and other Social Media outlets to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Reach out to all Nurture Contacts on a daily basis as scheduled via follow up calling, invitations to events / webinars, as well as newsletters, notices of new product version.
- Maintain and update data on constant basis in customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Attend Networking Events to meet Prospects, Nurture Contacts, and Alliance Partners
- Manage Alliance Partner List for each region and execute Outreach to maintain relationships, always look for potential opportunities for Alliance Partners and possible opportunities to refer position openings .
- Website Visitor tracking
- Monitor hits to company websites
- Utilize web analytics applications to review stats on hits (what companies downloaded/viewed) for Target companies
- Create and monitor Social Media Posts / Blog entries
- Assist in execution of Marketing Plan to help coordinate delivery of Marketing Initiatives as they pertain to tactical lead generation activities
- Assist Marketing team in documentation creation, campaign facilitation, and execution as required.
- Conduct Competitive Research as needed by Sales or Marketing.
- Sales Process assistance - Prospect Research, CRM updates, Quote Preparation, etc.
- Assist in scheduling meetings, conference calls, action calls, events, etc.
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:
2+ years proven sales expereince, preferably in a business-to-business software environment
- Self directed and disciplined individual with a passion for developing new business
- 4 year degree with concentration in Marketing and/or Business Management preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Experience with Microsoft Office required; Photoshop, Visio, and Adobe a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; Must possess ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
