• Senior Principal Mobile Applications Developer
• Torrance, CA

The Senior Principal Mobile Applications Developer will collaborate with functional analysts to translate business and integration requirements into configurable mobile application designs and solutions. This position will architect, design, code, unit test, and support mobile enterprise application solutions. The Senior Principal Mobile Applications Developer will reflect a mix of strong technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support for the mobile applications suite.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design and implementation of complex cross-platform mobile applications.
• Drive and coordinate the technical life cycle of mobile applications across architecture, design, coding, testing, QA, and production support.
• Drive and coordinate the design and technical architecture of mobile applications including the creation and review detailed architectural specifications.
• Proactively work to improve the performance and delivery of the complete mobile application stack including performance tuning, architectural review, deployment assessments and production problem resolution.
• Drive and evangelize proper code documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards.
• Deliver reliable solutions on-time, with minimal supervision.
• Develop a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing and technical growth.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to others in areas of expertise.

Requirements:

• BS required, MS preferred
• A minimum of 12 years of experience in IT/Technology industry
• 10 years of experience in application development
• 7 years of experience in systems/application architecture
• 3 years of experience developing native or web-based mobile applications
• Experience with components of iOS development
• 3+ years of project management experience
• Outstanding analytical & problem solving skills
• Expert level proficiency in Java or Objective-C
• Expert level proficiency in Rich Internet App technologies – JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS3 / GWT
• Solid implementation experience consuming and producing web services with a REST architecture
• Expert in object oriented design and implementation
• Thorough understanding of formal architecture, design patterns and best practices
• Thorough experience implementing large-scale/high performance client-server applications across multiple technology domains.
• Ability to identify system impact for small and large scale initiatives
• Able to work effectively and coordinate development with trans-national development teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with global implementations of mobile e-commerce applications
• Bi-lingual in Spanish
• Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines
• Ability to effectively lead and motivate large and small project teams
• Achieves results under limited direction
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Experience with complex, multi-national application implementations
• 7 years of experience in project management
• 3 years of experience with GWT strongly preferred
