Federal Practice - Deloitte Consulting LLP
Deloitte Consulting's dynamic Federal Practice based in Washington D.C. and the surrounding Metropolitan area has opportunities for you to become part of their high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Federal clients in financial management, business process improvement, strategy and operations, information systems development, package implementation, enterprise transformation, business process and applications outsourcing, and a full range of human capital advisory services.
Center Associate 5 - Java Developer
An Associate 5 at Deloitte works within an engagement team and is responsible for identifying business requirements, requirements management, functional design, prototyping, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), testing, training, defining support procedures and supporting implementations.
Must be able to obtain clearance to work in the government sector
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
- A minimum of 2 full life cycle implementations
- 3+ years' experience in software development in Java
- 1+ years' experience in applied unit testing, mock interfaces and synthetic data
- 2+ years' experience writing database access code
- Applied experience in daily software quality control such as validating source code documentation and software quality control and reporting
- Familiar with tools for software quality management such as CheckStyle, JUnit, JavaDoc, JDepend
Desired:
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
