This position is responsible for supporting and improving the processes and systems that support these tools.
In this role, the Analyst, eBusiness will participate in the development, enhancement, maintenance, and testing of business applications for the eBusiness team. Under the direction of the Manager, eBusiness and Call Center, the Analyst will work with customers, staff members, IT colleagues, and other stake holders to define detailed customer requirements and system interfaces, assess available technologies, and develop solutions to meet the business needs. This includes knowledge of mobile technologies(iOS and android), web services development, object oriented J2EE application development experience, and experience with project lifecycle processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement technical solutions within a project team supporting mobile applications, mobile accessible internet web sites. Troubleshoot application and/or data issues to satisfy business requirements. Perform hands on technical tasks configuring the applications and working with software vendors to deliver results. Publish work plans and statuses of open activities with timelines.
- Partnership with customers to identify information and business process enhancement needs.
- Work independently to create new and update existing mobile applications and internet web sites including working with the technical, business, and consulting resources to develop.
- Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Create and update required documentation about applications. Develop and adhere to detailed processes for all operational work.
- Foster and maintain good relationships with customers to ensure design requirements are integrated to support expected customer service levels.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Services, Computer Science, Engineering or related work experience.
Experience:
- Entry level Mobile application/web site development experience
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Access, etc.)
- Experience with structured design, development and implementation of new computing architecture.
- Experience in managing deliverables and deadlines to implement new solutions.
Knowledge:
Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and methodologies in a mobile web environment.
Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience of configuration or development of mobile and web applications.
Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
Aptitude to understand the impact of different types of technology on the business.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts to stakeholders in simple terms.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
Good project management skills, operating as part of a team, organizing, planning, and executing small-scale projects from vision through implementation. Knowledge of project management techniques and project life cycle methodologies is required.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
Experience with mobile web development for iOS (Xcode) and/or Android (Java) is desirable.
