The candidate will support operations in support of the Last Tactical Mile program for Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (I2WD). The candidate will have Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in the areas of biometrics and software engineering. The candidate will be responsible for performing all phases of software design--development, documentation, and implementation. Additionally, the individual will design and develop advanced networking techniques and protocols, database management systems, and program in high order languages in support of communications systems. Furthermore, the candidate will document, design, and develop software across multiple operating environments and hardware platforms and operating systems including Android, Apple iOS, Linux and Windows Method as well as review specifications and requirements, and develop designs to best support them. Position requires possible short term deployments into CENTCOM AOR. Experience and familiarity with the Last Tactical Mile Program, TROJAN SPIRIT and TROJAN NexGEN preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required along with a minimum of 10 years of software development experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems (e.g., UNIX/ULTRIX, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/VMS, Harris VOS). Finally, the candidate must have four (4) years’ experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages. Secret Clearance with Top Secret eligibility required.
