The Manager DW Support will provide hands-on management and guidance for the DW support team. The position requires deep knowledge and Expertise on BI Modeling, Design and development preferably with Cognos BI. This highly qualified candidate will report directly to the Director of IS and lead the BI team to develop and deliver business-focused solutions. The position requires strong leadership, business analysis and technical skills to build, deliver and Maintain Enterprise Business Intelligence Systems.


Responsibilities:  
* Establish relationships with key business constituencies and serve as an advocate for business intelligence deliverables across multiple departments; liaison between business and other technical areas.
* Analyze, define, and document business and functional requirements for ongoing enhancement of BI system, with orientation toward phased approach based on rapidly evolving needs
* Lead the ongoing development process for the BI system,
* Design and implement multi-dimensional models, including the construction of Data View, Dimensions, and Cubes while adhering to enforced development methodologies.
* Confer with business users to understand business processes and project requirements, and translate them into functional specifications for BI reports, integration and applications
* Interpret business specifications to produce technical requirements documents (data mappings, etc.) for the BI/DW environment.
* Understand the business rules and processes of the company and inform project teams about how business rules and transformations are applied to data.
* Develop fundamental understanding of multiple business functions, related operational production system(s) and data warehouse structures to drive BI/DW strategy.
* Working with the business, help to define measure and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Metrics around the BI/DW environment.
* Maintain and publish metadata about the data warehouse, its data, and business rules used for data processing and ETL to internal consumers.
* Establish and help enforce best practices and guiding principles around Data Acquisition and Data Quality.
* Analyze data and/or processes for anomalies or data quality issues; identify & resolve issues; coordinate with operational owners regarding source data.
* Act as a representative to the business in day to day matters around the use and the quality of data.
* Communicate to user community regarding production data issues, and other data warehouse issues impacting users.
* Design ad-hoc queries and reports as requested and provide on-going analytical support.
* Hire, coach/develop the team in addition to prioritizing work
* Support the Marketing Modeling team as needs surface
* And any other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
Required Skills


Required Skills:  
* Bachelors in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
* 10+ years of industry or consulting IT experience
* 5+ years of experience in gathering business requirements and converting to Data Warehouse specifications.
* 5+ years experience managing Enterprise Business Intelligence environments, including experience with database design, data modeler, administration and optimization
* 5+ years of experience in Data modeling.
* 5+ years in Cognos/TM1, Teradata BI or any other similar BI platform
* BI/DW project deployment experience including meeting the needs so the business in a timely manner
* Experience in driving a successful DW/BI build-out from requirements gathering to vendor selection to actual implementation a plus.
* Strong Analytical skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Telcom or Cable back experience preferred
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.
