Manager, Healthcare Software Engineering

In this exciting hands-on Manager, Software Engineering role, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and coordinating the technical roadmap of one or more clinical application systems. This includes managing a team of technical resources and the supporting technical environment. The managed applications are high volume, web-based solutions, developed using Agile methods. This position has responsibility for the SDLC, including control artifacts; coordination of outsourced platform operations; and meeting team and project objectives.Primary responsibilities include: * Collaborate with business leaders and product management to understand business strategies * Build, manage, and lead a team of software development professionals to enable the business* Perform design and code reviews, and ensure all required documentation is delivered* Drive innovative and creative solutions to business and technical challenges* Plan, Track, and actively manage project financials including estimating and forecasting* Collaborate and coordinate across IT teams to ensure project milestones are met* Plan, schedule, prioritize and manage assignments for team members* Ensure that business needs are met/exceeded by the application portfolio* Ensure delivery of technology solutions on time, on budget, on quality and on benefitAssets:* Experience with Medicare/Medicaid programs and claims processing* Strong technical and platform knowledge, including some or all of: Java/JSE/JEE/JSF, Oracle, XML, XSLT, HTML, CSS, TCP/IP, HTTP, LDAP, SQL, XQuery, Maven. .Net, DB2* Experience developing and designing architecture* Effective in a matrixed organizations* Proficient in the use of MS-Office products

- Experience with Java, J2EE, Oracle, .Net, MS-SQL - Experience with Web-services* 3+ years of experience in Agile methodologies* Healthcare industry knowledge
