What you will be doing:

- Defining, designing, implementing and maintaining of our network infrastructure
- Manage performance and quality of the network and work closely with other network and system engineers to ensure that the network never impedes the performance of the service infrastructure that relies on it.
- Drive improvements, performance, reliability and cost reduction
- Lead in the planning and delivery process of network design solutions
- Work closely with major vendors to understand the impact on managing networks, and certifying their equipment for utilization.
- Develop and maintain networking standards, documentation and techniques for deployment.
- Develop RFIs and have a strong emphasis on lab results for validation.
- Provide Tier 3 and 4 service and network support to operations and engineering.
- Manage vendors and technical support contracts including hardware, software, ISP's as they relate to networking infrastructure
- Perform and document tests and evaluation of new technologies and equipment.

What you need:

- 5+ yrs working in data center environments and a solid working knowledge of high availability architectures.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience and comfortable working in a Linux / Unix environment
- Ability to document, diagram and flowchart complex concepts
- Excellent project management skills including, strong written and verbal communication skills
- Firewall (Cisco, Linux IPtables)
- Load Balancing (F5)
- Site to Site VPN (multiple technologies)
- Hardware (Cisco, Extreme Networks)
- Routing: BGP, OSPF, MLAG, LAG, IPv4, IPv6
- MPLS, L3VPN, VPLS, L2VPN
- Must understand network concepts, and support protocols:
- NTP, DNS, RADIUS, SNMP, LDAP
- Advanced knowledge of RSVP, MPLS, and mVPN
- Experience with network management tools (Splat, Linux, Wireshark, TCPdump)
