Software Design Engineer in Test

Our client, owner of the most popular motor franchise game on the market, is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test who wants to make a big impact on the quality of game titles. This job requires a strong technical candidate with the ability to work efficiently against backlogs in an agile environment while balancing additional requests for support across a large number of systems (builds, automation, propagation, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Work in a team with Development, PM, Operations, Art, and Design
- Build C#, PowerShell, 3D Max Script automation across multiple content team areas
- Maintain and author build verification tests (BVTs), debug test failures, debug asset propagation failures, and find solutions to these issues
- Assist with running iterative tool verifications to propagate latest development changes to artists
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Computer Science/engineering/related discipline or commensurate industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in software testing including shipping multiple products
- 2+ years of C# development experience
- Experience with automation scripts, efficiency tools and business intelligence gathering / reporting
- Excellent communication and cross-group collaboration skills
- Strong in debugging, troubleshooting and problem solving
- Passion for engineering excellence through automation and process improvements
- Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum and test driven development
- Experience writing PowerShell or shell script automation
- Experience using 3DS Max or 3D Studio Max Script a big plus
- History working on or shipping a AAA rated game title a big plus
This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
