Sr. Network Engineer – Juniper Service Provider
 
 
Position Overview
Extropy is currently recruiting for a fulltime Sr. Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Service Provider core network routing and switching. Ideal candidates have active JNCIE or CCIE certifications. However, lower level certified people will be considered with appropriate experiences and skill sets.
 
Qualified candidates will be hired into full time roles with Extropy and will be dedicated to supporting our customer, Juniper Networks. This is a highly technical role, providing post-sales on-site support of Junipers Network Products. The Sr. Engineer will be required to develop and maintain an expertise on the products deployed within the Customers network.
 
Non-local candidates will be considered, but must be willing to relocate to the city where the position is based.

Job Duties
  • Design and MOP support for major Service Provider
  • The preparation of equipment configurations and validation of configurations for new installations, changes within the network, software upgrades etc
  • Development and maintenance of fault diagnosis procedures to support effective fault resolution
  • Development and maintenance of network operational support procedures related to the Juniper Networks products
  • Assessing the health of a network
  • Network related testing to ensure that the Juniper Networks products operate correctly
  • Implementation, integration & migration planning
  • Validation testing of the Juniper Networks products
  • Troubleshooting of network issues
  • Ongoing, informal, knowledge transfer
  • Acting as a technical liaison with Juniper Networks Customer
  • Service and Engineering groups:
  • Assisting JTAC with open JTAC cases
  • Submission of problem reports
  • Advice, and demonstration if necessary, of new software and hardware features
 
 
Requirements
  • 5+ years of network Deployment and Operations
  • One or more of the following certs (JNCIE, CCIE, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIA, CCNP)
  • Deep experience with core L2/L3 technologies
  • Experience with MX, EX and SRX platforms
  • Experience with provider side MPLS, L2/L3 VPNs, VPLS, and Multicast, IPv6
 
Highly Desirable Skills
  • JNCIE or CCIE
